Great Uncles and Aunts

Here's Collin with his Pittsburgh Great Aunts and Uncles: John, Mary Ann (w/ Grammy), Mary Jane, and Dave. Rich and Mary Lou were busy planning Rich's prison break.

Surprise--Uncle Andy!

We usually drive home from Pittsburgh by going up through Erie. However, due to a storm we had to drive east through State College. We didn't think we'd get to see my brother Andy since he had to work and Kelly had the stomach flu. However, after a call to his cell phone "just in case" Andy showed up at Hi-Way Pizza to meet his nephew!
I grew up going to Hi-Way Pizza and never dreamt I'd be there with my son! It was also Collin's first restaurant experience and he was as-always well-behaved.

1st Cousin (once removed) Katey

Here is Collin with his pretty and scrappy cousin Katey. As you can see Collin was in excellent hands when he visited Pittsburgh last weekend. Katey has taken babysitting classes and is also just naturally good with kids. She spent a lot of time holding and playing with Collin which gave his derelict mother a chance to enjoy a few cosmos (see background of first picture). Thanks Katey!

Two-Month Check-Up Update

Everyone had a tough day. Collin had to endure three vaccinations, and his parents had to endure their son crying as he's never cried before. No cries previously heard prepared us for these cries Collin had, until now, kept hidden within him. (On the bright side, this tells us the kid's life had thus-far been relatively pain-free.) Of course, diphtheria is worse, but you try telling a two-month old that! Specs were good: 14 pounds 9 oz; 24 (25?) inches tall. He is a healthy baby.

Tales from his trip to Pittsburgh after his mother concludes her comforting. Until then, these pictures will have to do...

Where Oh Where Is My Thumb?

Collin is getting really close to finding his thumb. It is a key discovery so that he can soothe himself--especially since his Mama will be going back to work very soon.

DJ Poopy D in Da House

Of course, DJ Poopy D is but one of his nicknames, btw. We also call him Vladimir Tootin and Gaseous Clay.

Moo!

This is Collin's play barnyard, a hand-me-down from his friend Frieda. It is where we try to give Collin tummy time. I write "try" because he dislikes it so much that he has learned to jiggle himself onto his back! Very clever for a 2-month-old!

Collin and the Unibomber

In this video Collin is wearing the first outfit ever given to him (from his Grammy). His Mama couldn't believe he would ever be big enough to fit into it!

Today Collin stuck out his tongue to mimic his Mama. "Ted" hasn't been able to capture this on video yet.

Swing Kid

Mama has a cold so she's at home with me while Papa is at a superbowl party at my friend Tarik's house. Right now I'm enjoying my swing while she eats soup made by my Papa. My aunt Alexis helped Mama put it together. Sometimes I even fall asleep in it...

Bath Time Again--This Time No Tears!

Collin had his first tearless bath earlier this week. He almost seemed to like it...
