Note:  the mark on his arm is not a bruise but a stain from his vitamin drops.

T-Shirt: Now and Then

Backyardigans

Eating News:
  • Eats without incident avocado, cream of wheat, yogurt, pizza crust, cow's milk, water (unlike his cousin, Chris L.), breakfast bars, cheese, cookies, waffles.
  • Tries to eat (but it just sits in the bottom of his mouth) tofu, eggs, all pastas, shredded chicken.
  • Appears that he has no problem with really soft or really crunchy foods, but anything in between is a no-go.

Garden Variety

Last weekend we met up with the Demarco's at the Chicago Bontanic Gardens. It was a gorgeous, clear, humidity-free day.

There is a train garden, but unfortunately by the time we got there, Collin was tired and when he's tired he falls a lot. Soon after we had to move on...

For some reason the where the city of Hollywood should be is a ghost town.

Collin tries to go Godzilla in the train garden.

Baby Archie Bunker

Collin has his own chair!  Also, when Mommy wasn't looking he found the camera, turned it on, and took pictures.  I've included some of his self-portraits.

The Ropes

Here are more pictures of the Demarcos's visit.  As you can see Collin picked up some playground pointers from Dylan:

Choo Choo!

Collin loves Thomas the Tank Engine-type trains.  Mommy does not love their hefty price tag.  A few weeks ago we were given a generous dose of good luck.  While walking with Jeanne and Audrey A., we noticed a cool train table sitting out in front of a neighbor's house.  Jeanne inquired about it and bam! we had a train table.  As if that wasn't good enough, the former owner asked us if we wanted any trains?  ummm... yes!  He has two boys who have outgrown them.  They gave us a huge bin of tracks and Thomas trains.  Collin was in heaven.  As you can see below, he had to literally lord over his little railroad empire.
