Twinkies

Mommy gave Baba and Collin matching shirts which they wore for the first time on Monday.  Since Baba worked most of the weekend he was able to spend a lot of President's Day with the family.

Grammy, Baba, Mommy, and Collin met some friends at the library for a playdate.  Always an art critic, Collin tried to pull all of these pictures off the wall:

Look who is out on the town--Audrey!:
and Mom!:
Collin loves to look through glass:

He also likes to taste it:

Baba successfully distracted Collin from the charm of dirty glass with some books:

One Man's Dining Room Is Another Man's Playroom

Baba and Mommy (with the braun of Justin) changed the dining room into a playroom for Collin.  So far he seems to like it, although he occasionally transports his toys back to the living room.

"Sish" With Akilah

Mommy and Collin met up with Mommy's friend/former student Akilah at Shedd Aquarium since it was free this week.  Collin loves looking at the "sish".  He was happy to see Akilah again too.  He hadn't seen her since he was a tiny baby in Ithaca.  Akilah is heading to Australia this weekend to study abroad for a semester.  Bon Voyage!  See you when you get back to Chicago!

Doodledog

Grammy came to visit for the long weekend which meant an especially splashy tubby time:

Earlier that day we went to the Chicago History Museum. They had a Chicago Hotdog display complete with mustard, onions, pickles, and tomatoes:

"You mean I AM solid food? Get me out of here!":

Collin tried Grammy's shades on for size. He loved them and wouldn't take them off:

They are good for fooling the papparazzi:
