Disco Doodle

On Sunday we went to Baby Loves Disco which is a real dance party in a real club with a real DJ with real drinks for the grownups.  It just happens to take place from noon to 3pm, sandwiched between nap times.  This months theme was Pajama Party which is why Collin is dressed in his Dance Robot PJs.  He was a bit bewildered for the first 45 minutes, but warmed up by the end.

This kid really took the Chill Out Area seriously:

Off-Topic: This makes Mommy laugh...

Swearing (in)

Baba is now officially allowed to practice law.  Grammy and Poppop came to visit and we all went together to the swearing in ceremony.  Collin ended up hanging out with some other babies in the back of the hall.  Grammy noted that when put down, he instinctively crawled toward the STAGE.

Later we had lunch at Mayer Brown and checked out the views from Baba's office.

On his desk Baba has a picture of his favorite wife next to his favorite housewife.

Later at home Grammy successfully got Collin to eat some vegetable straws.  Thanks Grammy!

Our trip to the aquarium will follow...

Grant Park On Election Day 2008

With Collin safe at home with a babysitter, Mommy met Baba downtown after work and they went to Grant Park.  They were not alone.  Those like them who were not lucky enough to score tickets to the actual speech gathered around the many huge screens placed around the park.  Mommy had never seen so many people congregating in a such an orderly and almost hushed fashion.  Pretty much everyone was smiling.  Mommy and Baba received many high fives and hugs from strangers and the train ride home was jubilant to say the least.  Collin was asleep in his bed when they returned home.  It was a hopeful night, indeed.  (Apologies for the exposure)
