First Trip to the Beach

We waited until late in the day to take Collin to the beach to protect him from the sun. Much like P.Diddy, he had an umbrella held over him (by Grammy) most of the time. Pictures by Grumpa.

In Honor of Kylee's Trip to Charleston

Here are some great pictures of the last time Kylee took a trip to see a Bornhorst. Something tells me the food will be better this time around (no offense, to Ruby Tuesday's) but I'm pretty sure the company won't be any cuter.

Old School

Collin spent three afternoons with his great-grandmother. They had big smiles for each other.

On Saturday we went to visit Uncle Andy and Aunt Kelly in State College. We stayed overnight and then went to visit Kelly who was working at Harner's Farm. We helped her feed and water the goats, Mo and Joe, and the roosters. Collin got to see first-hand the chickens that are mentioned in so many of his songs. As expected, Mike seemed to really enjoy his time with the farm animals.

It was so hot and humid, Aunt Kelly treated us to milkshakes.

Uncle Andy teaches at my elementary school so we took a tour. I sat in my old second grade classroom seat (although back then I did not have baby drool on my shirt!)

Back at the house the Kovalchiks stopped by to meet Collin before we headed back to Ithaca.

Pops in the Making...

Here is Collin with Uncle Andy donning one of Pop Pop's caps.

Uncles and MJ

We visited Uncles Dave and Doug for a lovely dinner one evening. Everything was delicious especially the "Collins" drink of the night!. Here also is a picture of Mary Jane with Collin before we went. As you can see, he is wearing his doggie overalls in honor of Olive.

Familial Hospitality

We stayed for four nights with Uncle John and Aunt Mary Ann in Pittsburgh. Not only was it a lot of fun, but we also were in the same neighborhood with Nana so we could visit her often.

Mike caused havoc at Christopher's elementary school when he visited him for lunch. The boys also went to the Pirates game where Christopher appeared on the jumbotron! Unfortunately his shrine could not help the Penguins win the Stanley Cup.

Collin loved playing with and being read to by his cousins. Meanwhile I followed Mary Ann around to find the secret for raising such great kids! It was a wonderful visit!
